1st Annual Bowling for Fur Tournament = Success!!!

I’ve seen a bowling tournament or two on television (yes, ESPN does broadcast them), and only watched 10 minutes at maximum (okay, probably just 30 seconds). So, I was not sure what to expect from this fundraiser on July 18th. What I did NOT expect from HSI’s first tournament was the “friendly” competition that emerged from our participants. Many of our bowlers were wandering the lanes “checking out” the competition – trying scope out how other teams were doing…that was fun to witness.
Ultimately, all of the participants signed on because they believe in the cause…which is simple. To help the Humane Society of Iredell County grow, so the organization can better help the animals of the county and be a stronger resource for animal welfare.
The WONDERFUL companies and organizations below are the one’s that can say they started it all…and HSI volunteers cannot thank them enough for their donation and time. Additionally, a big thanks to George Pappas’ Victory Lane for agreeing to host for this event. The hospitality was wonderful.
