The Humane Society of Iredell elected the following officers and board members at its annual meeting on April 10, 2008. One of the goals of this group is to build a “no-kill” shelter for the Humane Society of Iredell as well as educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets and reducing the euthanasia rate in the county.

Kevin Donaldson is a partner with the Mooresville law firm Jones, Childers, McLurkin, & Donaldson, PLL.
Vice-President
Lee Smith is the mother of NASCAR® driver Regan Smith and President of RL Smith Inc.
Secretary
Krissie Newman is the wife of NASCAR® driver Ryan Newman. Krissie was a major driving force behind the Humane Society of Catawba County’s no-kill animal shelter.
Treasurer
Mike Horvath has held the position of treasurer of the Humane Society of Iredell for the past year and a half.
Director of Public Relations
Greta Ray is the daughter of NC House of Representative Karen Ray and has always had an interest in animal welfare.
Kelley Earnhardt Elledge - Kelley is the sister to NASCAR® driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Vice President and General Manager of his company, JR Motorsports.
John Kindley is the owner of Equity Commercial Properties in Mooresville.
Kim Taylor (formerly a judge in the 22nd District) practices law in Iredell County.
Karen Ray is a former NC State House Representative.
Shelly Patterson-Biby works for the NASCAR Foundation.
