The Humane Society of Iredell is a nonprofit, charitable organization dedicated to the promotion of animal welfare. The group, originally organized in 1975, is dedicated to the placement of adoptable pets in to forever homes, as well as ending animal suffering in our county.
The Humane Society of Iredell is supported entirely by private donations, which are used for the benefit of animals. We do not receive state, county or governmental funding. We survive soley on support from private donations. Our animals are in foster homes. We encourage you to learn more about us and to join us in caring for animals in need.
The purposes of this Humane Society are:
- The prevention of cruelty to all animals
- The relief of animal suffering
- Humane education
- To help find permanent homes for stray and homeless animals
- Encouraging the spaying and neutering of all animals
- Returning lost animals to their owner
- Seeking suitable homes for domestic animals without owners
