Annual Election of Directors Notice

Please join us on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. for the Humane Society of Iredell Annual Election of Directors. The election will be held at the Humane Society of Iredell Adoption Center at 110 Robinson Road, Mooresville, NC 28117.

The following individuals have been selected by the Nominating Committee for election to the Board of Directors:

Krissie Newman – Krissie currently serves on the Board of Directors of Humane Society of Iredell as Secretary. Krissie was a major driving force behind the Humane Society of Catawba County no-kill Animal Shelter and the regional SNIP Clinic in Hickory.

Greta Ray Anderson – Greta currently serves on the Board of Directors of Humane Society of Iredell as Director of Public Relations. She has an avid interest in animal welfare and has experience in animal rescue.

Mike Horvath – Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of Humane Society of Iredell as Treasurer. Mike has had years of experience in working with Humane Societies and other non-profit organizations. He was a partner in an accounting firm for 21 years. Currently, he serves as Business Finance Manager for a Statesville based company.

Nominations will also be taken from the floor.

In order to vote at the May 19, 2009 election, you must be a member in good standing and have your 2009 membership dues paid by Friday, May 15, 2009.

Membership Due Amounts:

Individual $25 (individual gets one vote)
Family $40 (two family members get one vote each)

Membership dues can be paid online or by mail.

Mail-in dues must be received by Friday, May 15, 2009 to qualify to vote at the election.

If you are a member and are unable to attend the election, you can vote by proxy. Please send your request to Humane Society of Iredell, PO Box 1617, Statesville, NC 28687 or to pr@iredellhumane.org. Your proxy request must be received by Wednesday, May 13, 2009.
